Morgan niche manufacturer will use the 2010 edition of Pebble Beach Elegance contest, to expose a new model in front of its fans, most likely a coupe with four seats, baptized EvaGT.
The model will be based on the Supersports Aero aluminum chassis, modified to be similar to the GT3’s. The coupe will be fairly easy, with a mass of only 1,250 kg, due to the aluminum side panels, which were also hand-finished.
Under the hood will be a BMW engine with six-cylinder, 3.0 liter, capable of transmitting a total of 306 wheel horsepower and a torque of 400 Nm. EvaGT will have a manual or automatic gear box, with seven reports, which sends power to the rear axle. The ride will be provided by an independent suspension on each axle.
These resources will boost the sporty-looking retro from 0-100 km/h in 4.5 seconds, up to a maximum speed of 273 km/h. Even so, EvaGT will consume only 5.8 litres/100 km and CO2 emissions of 200 g/km.
