Christina Aguilera says women are “machines”

The singer, who filed for divorce from husband Jordan Bratman last month, says women are often more powerful than they think.

“Every woman has the ability or the drive to do it all and have it all,” Aguilera told Redbook magazine.

Despite going through a rough time, Aguilera says her son Max, who turns 3 in January, is her number 1 priority.

“My life is cyclical,” she says. “First it’s album time, then it’s touring time. I’m not a 9-to-5 woman who has the same kind of lifestyle for years on end. I couldn’t do it. I need the spontaneity, that thrill of change.”

Regarding the way Max handles all the hustle of his famous mom, she says, “This is what the cards have in store for Max. We put it into his brain early on that he’s a traveling guy. He adapts well when we go from hotel to hotel.”

Good friend and fellow mom Nicole Richie praises Christina for her dedication.

“It’s very clear through Christina’s music what a strong woman she is,” Richie says. “But to watch her as a mother only sky-rockets the respect I have for her … Her dedication to Max is incredible.”
