White powder threat sent to Bristol Palin on the “Dancing With the Stars” Set

The powder substance was discovered by a DWTS staff member and immediately after that, a section of the studio was evacuated and access was restricted.

“Security and the Los Angeles Fire Department and Los Angeles Police Department were immediately notified. Measures were taken to secure the area and ensure the safety of personnel,” a source said.

However, the substance proved to be mere talcum powder after “initial field screening was negative for hazardous substances.” The note was not released and the investigation continues.

The threat most likely came as a reaction against the 20-year-old advancing into the finals after Brandy Norwood and her partner Maksim Chmerkovskiy were eliminated as they were considered more talented and likely to win than Palin.

The decision to put Bristol in the finals sparked reactions of disagreement, with people saying they won’t watch the next DWTS season if she wins. One Wisconsin man was so upset after last week’s results show that he shot his gun at his TV.
