NBC is interested in Playboy

Will the bunnies make the network’s rating jump? That’s probably what NBC is hoping, whose screenwriter and executive producer is Chad Hodge. Last year, another author was the head of the project, which seems to persist despite changes.

Playboy focuses on the New York “Playboy clubs” from the 1960s, according to Variety. About one million customers who paid a “keyholder” fee could come to see the Bunnies, charming hostesses wearing rabbit ears and a bushy tail wagging little on the back of their costume.

Playboy clubs, many of which had been closed, are beginning to see daylight again. In 2006, a club opened in Las Vegas, and this month, another club was launched in Macao.
