“Melrose Place” Star faces manslaughter charge

This year in June, the actress was driving her SUV and smashed into another vehicle which was turning into a driveway in Montgomery, New Jersey. The driver in the front seat, Helene Seeman died at the scene, while her husband Fred was hospitalized in critical condition.

Locane told cops she had several glasses of wine before getting behind the wheel. Now she faces 10 to 30 years behind bars for the manslaughter charge and 5 to 10 years for the assault by auto charge.

Locane’s attorney Blair Zwillman said he is “surprised” at the aggravated manslaughter charge. “I don’t believe it is supported by the law or the facts and I think it constitutes over-reaching by the prosecutor’s office,” he said.
