Elizabeth Edwards leaves everything to children, ignores husband

According to reports, Elizabeth Edwards changed her will on 1 December to leave everything to her children. She died Dec. 7 after a long battle with breast cancer. She was 61 years old.

“All of my furniture, furnishings, household goods, jewelry, china, silverware and personal effects and any automobiles owned by me at the time of my death I give and bequeath to my children,” the will says.

Her 28-year-old daughter, Catharine, was named executor. The woman had three children, Catharine, Emma and John.

John and Elizabeth Edwards were officially separated for about a year. Shortly before the announcement, John Edwards had publicly admitted having a child with a former mistress, Rielle Hunter.

The story was first denied by John, but the politician finally had to admit his affair in August 2008.
