A source close to the parties involved has revealed to TMZ that Mr. Alan Shifman, one of the lawyers hired by Oksana, claims a whopping $ 163,000 for his work performed between October 15 and November 15, 2010.
The surce said the lawyer in question, who has since resigned from the case after a disagreement with the other attorney of his client, billed his services at 600 per hour.
Given the total amount claimed and the hourly rate, Shifman worked 272 hours over 30 days. This means he worked nine hours a day, seven days a week during that period. A calculation that will undoubtedly raise suspicions among the actor’s lawyers.
Since the beginning of this legal battle, at least 18 lawyers for Oksana have submitted an application for payment of their fees before a California court order, asking that Mel Gibson pay these costs for his ex-girlfriend. The total value of the claims is estimated at over $ 1 million.
