DA denies reports saying Lindsay Lohan will be charged

TMZ broke the news today, announcing that Lindsay, who is under investigation for stealing a $2,500 necklace from a jewelry store, will be charged on Monday.

The site claimed the actress had been informed by her lawyer, Shawn Chapman Holley, of the charge and explained to her that the DA was expected to file the case on Monday.

If that was true, the star could have faced a maximum of three years in prison.
