Rumors about Saab returning to WRC intensify

Speculation in the international press regarding Saab’s intention of returning to the WRC develops.

Rumors first appeared in August last year and have since become widespread due to the fact that Vladimir Antonov, owner of Spyker and Saab adviser, took a part of the shareholds of the action sports company North One, the promoter of World Rally Championship.

This is how the hypothesis that Saab is keen to return to the WRC for the first time since the 1979 withdrawal appeared, but so far no information on the Swedish model which could compete or about the moment an official announcement will be made on this subject has been released.

Saab has also competed in the WRC in the ’70s with mediocre results, scoring only four wins, all in the Rally of Sweden.
