Natalie Portman addresses dancing double’s accusations for the first time

Sarah Lane, her dancing double for the film, recently made some comments about the actress that out her in a bad light: “Of the full body shots, I would say 5 percent are Natalie. All the other shots are me.”

She claimed the production used new digital technologies to superimpose Natalie’s head over her body. Luckily, Natalie had supporters: Black Swan director Darren Aronofsky and fiancé Benjamin Millepied, who was responsible for the film’s choreography.

Today for the first time, Natalie Portman has responded to attack. Here’s what she told E!:

“I know what went on and we had an amazing experience making the movie,” says Portman. “I don’t want to tarnish it by entering into nastiness.”

“It’s such a positive thing what we get to do,” Portman tells E!. “We get to create things. I’m really proud of everyone’s work on the movie and of my experience… I’ll have that forever, so it’s nice for me to know about that no matter what kind of nastiness or gossip is going around.”
