Playboy mansion – source of infection

It appears the Playboy mansion is a real source of infection. Los Angeles County health officials started an investigation after a few dozen guests who were present at Hugh Hefner’s residence fell ill two months ago.

It seems that they have been infected with a bacterium that causes Legionnaires’ disease, The Huffington Post reports.

According to doctors, Hefner’s guests took part in a fundraiser organized at the Playboy Mansion in Beverly Hills. They took advantage on the occasion and went in the hot tubs inside the caves at the residence.

After having attended the meeting, the guests began to feel ill, accusing specific symptoms of the respiratory disease: high fever, headache, dizziness.

Almost half of the 439 people who health officials have managed to contact via social networks were infected with Legionnaires’ disease, but managed to escape the virus in the meantime.

Even though the participants were treated, the authorities continue the investigation to prevent such incidents in future.
