The ivory-colored satin gown designed by Sarah Burton, artistic director of the Alexander McQueen fashion house, was highly appreciated, for its touch of modernity accompanied by a certain classic line, a pattern that reminded of the dress worn by Grace Kelly at her marriage to Prince Rainier of Monaco in 1956.

“The Duchess of Cambridge is considering a number of options to give members of the public the opportunity to see, close up, the skilled British craftsmanship that went into the making of her wedding dress by Sarah Burton and her team as well as the Royal School of Needlework,” said Clarence House.

Employees at Clarence House didn’t specify where and when the gown would be exposed. Many of the dresses worn by princess Diana were presented in the Kesington palace in London.

The dress worn by Kate Middleton, which was kept secret until the last moment, was revealed to the whole world the moment the bride got down from the Rolls-Royce Phantom that brought her at Westminster.

Being a one-day outfit for Kate Middleton, it seems that the dress will get a bright future: copied in large numbers, it will be worn by many brides worldwide.

Prince William and Kate Middleton were married on Friday at Westminster Abbey, an event watched by a global audience estimated at around 2 billion people and attracting around one million people on the streets of London.
