On Saturday, July 2, Albert of Monaco and Charlene Wittstock married in a grand wedding in Monaco. Now the couple is making their first official visit to her home country of South Africa where they are set to enjoy their honeymoon.
According to the South African press, the couple will occupy a £4,600-a-night hotel suite in the Oyster Box Hotel in Umhlanga overlooking the Indian Ocean.
The presidential suite was reserved for Albert and Charlene. It is a two-storey luxury suite with two bathrooms, a freestanding marble bath with a view to the Indian Ocean and its own private pool.
The apartment also has its own terrace overlooking the sea and a private dining area.
Prince Albert of Monaco, who is a member of the International Olympic Committee, is invited to attend a banquet held by the organization in their honor at the hotel on 7 July.
“It’s a perfect place for a pair of newlyweds, and may well be all that Charlene needs to make her feel certain that marrying Albert was exactly the right thing to do,” a senior Palace source said.
