Casey Anthony might leave jail in a few weeks

Judge Belvin Perry sentenced her to spend one year in prison for each of the four charges brought against her and he will grant her credit for the time served in prison, which will be determined in subsequent proceedings.

The judge imposed the sentence to Anthony, as well as a fine of $ 1,000 for each count, in total $4,000.

She could now be released in late July or early August, having already spent almost three years in prison and exhibiting good behavior. Anthony has spent 997 days in the Orange County jail.

Judge Perry and the defense attorneys will settle Anthony’s jail credit.

During the investigation, Casey Anthony told the police that she was employed at the Universal Studios theme park, which was false. She also invented a babysitter named Zanny, and described having left the child with friends, adding that she had received a call from her daughter.
