Chloroform searches were found on Anthony family’s computer. But while Cindy denied having looked the substance up on the net, during Casey Anthony’s trial she said that it was her who had done the search.
Prosecution attorneys claimed that Casey had performed the search as she planned to kill Caylee.
Mark Lippman, Cindy Anthony’s lawyer, denied suggestions that his client had lied to protect her daughter.
“Our office is not pursuing perjury charges,” Danielle Tavernier, a spokeswoman for the Orange-Osceola State Attorney’s Office, told the Orlando Sentinel in an email.
Casey Anthony is set to be released from jail on Sunday. Recently, it was reported that Cindy wanted to visit her daughter in jail but the latter rejected her.
According to the Chicago Sun-Times, Casey plans to change her name after her release and resort to plastic surgery to change her appearance.
