2011 Emmy Awards nominations are announced

Actors and reality TV series will finally have their moment of glory.

The Emmy Awards ceremony, which rewards the American television stars, will be hosted by Jane Lynch, aka Professor Sue Sylvester from the series Glee.

Joshua Jackson and Melissa McCarthy announced the 2011 Emmy nominations Thursday in Los Angeles.

The Good Wife (6 nominations), Modern Family (7 nominations) and Mad Men (5 nominations) score the highest number of nominations.
