It was the executive producer of the series Nigel Lythgoe who revealed the information Wednesday on Ryan Seacrest’s radio show.
“I am delighted to say that all three judges, along with the brilliant host of American Idol is back for the next season,” Lythgoe said.
The return of the two other judges, Steven Tyler and Randy Jackson, has also been confirmed as they had both signed contracts for several seasons.
Lopez, however, had signed for only one year and, because of this, rumors had circulated in spring about the uncertainty of her return.
Last week reports said that JLo would get a $ 20 million check as a judge on the 11th season of the show, which is quite a raise considering her previous $ 12 million contract for the same position on the panel.
Nigel Lythgoe also announced that the judges will soon travel the country in search of hidden talents. Auditions will take place in Denver, Houston, St. Louis, Portland, Ore., San Diego, Pittsburgh and Charleston, N.C.
