Sarah Michelle Gellar on her return to television and privacy

Reports say that Ringer has been lined up to run for at least three seasons. Sarah herself revealed that the show won’t leave too many unanswered questions at the end of the season.

“I don’t have a burning desire to accomplish anything,” Sarah said in a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly.

“[Buffy] was so fulfilling for me in every way and everything I do now is the cherry on top,” she explains. “I don’t feel the pressure to do this, or have to do this or go here because I feel like I’ve already won.”

As for how to she managed to keep her feet on the ground despite jumping to stardom at a young age, the actress said: “I think it’s tricky. If you don’t have that support system at home to begin with, then it’s so easy to believe all the hype. I guess at the end of the day, I know who I am. If I see myself on a magazine cover at the supermarket, I don’t even realize that it’s me.”

Gellar, who has been married to Freddie Prinze Jr. for nine years, also revealed her secret to staying out of the spotlight.

“I think if you’re able to walk that line from the beginning you’ll find people have to be respectful of it,” she says. “We’ve never flaunted our relationship.”
