Adele might perform the soundtrack of the next James Bond film

The rumor was almost confirmed by the singer Friday night during a British talk show.

“I’m going back in the studio in November. Fingers crossed,” she said.

And when show host Jonathon Ross asked about what she was up to, Adele responded: “Well, this is actually a theme, what I’ve got to do. Wow, that’s really giving something away.”

“A theme?” Ross asked, and then began humming a famous song from the James Bond soundtrack. At that moment, Adele was seen blushing, adding that it is a concept rather than a song.

However, a source told the Sun that the singer had indeed been approached to perform such a task.

“Adele has been approached to record title tracks. None have taken her fancy but when you look back at the iconic singers who have done Bond she’s be in prestigious company.”

The 23-year-old singer went on to talk about her love life.

“To be honest, I got a bit burnt back in May, around my birthday, and I know he would be over the moon if I wrote a record about him, but no way is that boy getting a record about him. No way.”

The next James Bond movie will be the third starring Daniel Craig after Casino Royale and Quantum of Solace. It will be released on October 26, 2012 .
