Piers Morgan steps out of America’s Got Talent

Morgan, 46, announced Wednesday that he will leave America ’s Got Talent to focus on his CNN show Piers Morgan Tonight.

“Turned out that juggling’s harder than it looks, so I’m going to focus on CNN,” he wrote on Twitter.

Morgan has been the only member of the jury still present since the inception of the program in 2006.

“I’ve loved every single second, but I’ve discovered juggling, to my surprise, really is a bit more difficult than I thought,” he said on his CNN show on Wednesday.

Morgan thanked NBC, production company FremantleMedia and America ‘s Got Talent creator and fellow Briton Simon Cowell, “for giving me such a great opportunity. It’s been a blast.”

He added: “And congrats to @MrsSOsbourne @howiemmandel & @NickCannon – you don’t have to put up with me any more!”
