The tech site speculates on the launch of Apple’s next operating system judging by the company’s previous release calendar.
The report states that the next-generation iPhone is expected to be powered by Apple’s current iOS 5.1, in beta version at the moment.
By analyzing previous release dates for the iOS, which have often taken place in June or early July, the report speculates that Apple could unveil iOS 6 in June 2012.
And as the iPhone 5 is likely to come out after that, the handset could very well feature the beta version of iOS 6.
Recent reports say that Apple will launch an iPhone 5 with an aluminum rear panel and rubber bezel in the fall of 2012.
This will help cover a redesigned antenna system that surrounds the device. The iPhone 5 is also expected to feature a 4-inch display with the same resolution and a faster processor.
