In the desire to reassure fans he’s doing fine, Cannon tweeted a photo of himself in the hospital, getting his hair cut.
He accompanied the pic with the caption, “getting back to business.”
“I was beyond shocked when I learned Nick had a kidney issue,” DJ Irie, a friend of the TV personality told People. “Of all the people, he is healthy beyond belief. He does not drink, he eats healthy and he works out regularly.”
“Nick practices all of these healthy habits every day of his life,” he added. “But he is rational and smart and taking care of it by being in the hospital, where he belongs now.”
Nick was first hospitalized in Aspen, where he was enjoying a vacation with his wife, Mariah Carey, and twins Moroccan and Monroe. He was later moved to an L.A.-area facility.
“As always, he’s in good spirits considering the situation,” Carey said, adding that “the situation is not easy. We really appreciate everybody’s love and support.”
