According to M.I.C Gadget, thousands of people lined up on Monday outside a labor agency in Zhengzhou, China, in the hope of getting hired by Foxconn.
The lines stretched over 200 meters along the road.
According to reports, Foxconn plans to expand its workforce with another 100,000 workers. The starting salary is estimated at 1650 Yuan ($261) and after an appraisal it could increase from 2400 to 3200 Yuan (or $379 to $506).
Free meals and dormitory housing are also provided by the company.
The majority of the applicants have prior work experience, while others are fresh graduates.
Foxconn is expected to be readying for production of the iPhone 5, rumored to be released this year.
Recently, the Apple manufacturer has been the subject of controversy because of the harsh worker conditions inside its factories.
