iPad 3 to be released in March, iPhone 5 in June?
Japanese blog Macotakara wrote this month that Apple will present the new iPad at a conference held by Apple in early March.
As for the iPhone 5, it will probably be announced at the Worldwide Developer’s Conference (WWDC) to be held this year in June, according to Daiwa Securities.
4-inch iPhone 5 to be launched this summer, Foxconn employee claims
According to an anonymous source at the China-based supplier Foxconn cited by 9to5Mac, the iPhone 5 could incorporate a 4-inch screen (one of which is supposedly manufactured by LG) and a “longer/wider” form factor.
The insider also shared that the iPhone 5 could be launched during Apple’s World Wide Developers Conference set for this summer.
iPhone 5 release date could be in first quarter of 2012
According to Alexis Madrigal, a senior editor at The Atlantic, Apple’s next-generation iPhone could come out in less than six months.
The iPhone 5 “is probably going to come out in the first quarter of 2012,” Madrigal wrote.
iPhone 5 could be released Oct. 5 2012 to commemorate Steve Jobs’ death
At the end of last year, Apple was rumored to be planning a commemoration of the first anniversary of Steve Jobs’ death with the release of the much-awaited iPhone 5.
According to Apple Biter’s Blog at iPhone5Reviewed.com, Jobs was closely involved with the iPhone 5 in the last days of his life and followed all the steps of the production.
His involvement in the product is expected to make it a “cult classic” at the time of its release, probably in the summer of 2012.
“We find these rumors to be very valid, for the simple fact that Steve Jobs gave utmost importance to the design of Apple products,” the site wrote.
Because of this, the blog speculated that the date of the launch for the iPhone 5could be pushed to October in commemoration of the death of Apple’s co-founder.
iPhone 5 and iPad 3 to launch in 2012, report claims
DigiTimes reported in November of last year that an insider claimed that Apple was in the process of ordering “volumes for keyparts and components” for next-generation devices, including the iPhone 5 and iPad 3.
The site speculated that the device is unlikely to be revealed until “the second half of 2012” and that it would be completely redesigned.
Apple to release iPad Mini and 4-inch iPhone 5 in 2012?
Also in November, LG was rumored to be working on displays of 4 inches for the future iPhone 5 and 7.35 inches for the iPad Mini.
Reports also said that the upcoming device will have a 4-inch LCD touch screen, an increase of 0.5 inches on the current iPhone 4S, which confirmed rumors that Steve Jobs was working on a “radical redesign” of the iPhone up until shortly before his death in October.
Japanese blog Macotakara wrote that Hitachi Displays and Sony Mobile Display began shipping the displays for a “new iOS device” and were said to be working on screens for the iPad 3.

The Wall Street Journal reported in August that Sprint was to begin commercializing the iPhone 5 in mid October. Sources close to the telephone operator said that they were testing the device on their own network.
In addition, BGR obtained information from sources inside AT & T that said that the company’s vice president announced managers that the iPhone 5 was to be launched in the following 35 to 50 days.

9to5Mac obtained information indicating that the new handset could be released on October 7. The site suggested that Apple would make the order for the device in late September and would soon open a session of preorders for users.
Based on these pre-orders, the site speculated that some customers will receive the smartphone at home on October 7, while others would have to wait in front of Apple stores on the same day to purchase the device.

A senior Swisscom executive launched the rumor that Apple was preparing to launch the iPhone 5 in the fall.
