According to Top Gear, the 2015 Ford Focus RS will be powered by a 2.3-liter turbocharged I-4.
Citing a source at the Team RS in charge of manufacturing the cars for the Oval Blue, the site reports that there should be “at least 320bhp” on the next RS.
The other main information is that it will abandon the current five-cylinder. Instead of the original Volvo engine, a 2.3-liter tubrocharged, direct-injected four-cylinder unit will be found under the hood.
This engine is also set to go into the Mustang around 2014.
In addition, rumors say that the car is coming as a five-door version, instead of the previous three-door model.
Also, the RevoKnuckle front suspension from the previous Focus RS will be revived.
