iPhone 5 release date rumors: Will the new iPhone be launched in summer or fall?

One thing is certain though: Apple always takes us by surprise and mystery seems to be the key of their success.

Recently, Reuters reported that a source cited by South Korea’s Maeil Business Newspaper stated that the iPhone 5 will be available in Q2 of 2012, meaning somewhere around summer.

Daiwa Securities has also previously indicated that the smartphone is expected to be unveiled at the Apple Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) to be held in June 2012.

In February, Japanes site e Macotakara claimed that the next-generation iPhone will be released in September / October of this year. The Japanese website had previously provided valid information about other Apple products.

Last year’s WWDC was held before June 10 but this year the company seems to have planned the event somewhere between June 11 and 15.

The World Wide Developers Conference has long been an opportunity for Apple to present the latest versions of iOS and new iPhones.

Last year Apple brought the Mac OS X to the fore and this year the company is expected to do the same by presenting the OS X Mountain Lion at the conference.

The iPhone 4S was launched in October 2011 and the question that rises is whether Apple will release a new iPhone model less than a year away, especially since it hasn’t introduced the new iOS 6 yet.

The iOS 6 is likely to be launched in summer / fall, together with the new iPhone from Apple.

What do you think? Will the new iPhone be released in summer or fall? Tell us what you think.
