Since the device is expected to arrive this year, designers are imagining what the successor of the iPhone 4S could look like.
InRumor presents 5 concepts of the handset that definitely leave you dreaming.
In early January, Antonio De Rosa, founder of ADR Studio came up with a vision of the future iPhone that featured a slightly larger, edge-to-edge display and the firm’s logo inlaid on top of the screen.
The device integrates the A6 processor, with a target of 10 million pixels for the camera and the location of the SIM card moved on the top edge of the iPhone.
The author of the concept called it the iPhone SJ, in memory of Steve Jobs.
Another iPhone 5 mockup coming from Italy is signed CiccareseDesign.
Inspired by products like Apple’s Magic Mouse, the concept is equipped with a white face plate, a metallic backplate, as well as three buttons on the left for volume and silent mode.
This concept also features a front face and a white back metal, with the sleep button shifting from the top to the right side for a teardrop shape, a thinner shape on the edges and thicker in the middle.
A couple of weeks after the release of the new iPad, Antonio De Rosa of ADR Studio shared yet another vision of what the next iPhone could look like.
The Italian designer imagined the handset with no sim card, no physical Home button and 4G LTE technology support.
Available in several colors, the concept has an LED-powered border which can be used “to show the strength of battery life or to show you a preferred caller: you can choose the color thanks to the LED-edge dedicated app.”
In De Rosa’s vision, the smartphone has three Retina displays: the main screen in the middle, a top screen for notifications and network information and a screen for App dock, multitasking panel and so on.
This idea belongs to designer Jinyoung Choi, who designed around a 4.5-inch wide LCD with a resolution of 1280×800 and 2 side buttons.
The iPhone Pro includes a 1.2MP rear-facing 3D capable camera which can be hooked up to a DSLR lens that doubles up as a projector with embedded speakers.
Interestingly, the device also features a portable speaker that doubles up as a projector that will offer users the opportunity of projecting images and videos onto surfaces.
In the midst of reports stating that the next iPhone could come equipped with a new design featuring a unibody aluminum case that will be much thinner and a 4 inch screen, Schinagel-Costea Tudor presents a new concept of what could be the iPhone 5.
The handset sports a 4.3 inch display and a unibody case, in accordance with the latest buzz.
