According to a report from DigiTimes, Nitto will be supplying the thin-film materials and Nissha Printing and TPK will be responsible for producing the touch screens.
The new touchscreen technology is said to make the touch panel slimmer than all previous models.
In addition, this tech will help reduce costs for the materials, allowing the device to compete with other small-sized tablets on the market.
Previous reports estimated that the iPad Mini will be targeted at a $200-$250 price point.
DigiTimes also speculated that Apple will ship between 7 and 10 million iPad mini tablets in 2012.
