MacBook Pro specs label leak reveals Retina Display

Yesterday we reported that a picture of a spec sheet that apparently belongs to a 13-inch MacBook Pro that has not yet been launched shows that the model lacks Retina Dsiaply.

Now, 9to5mac claims to have received an image that presents the opposite for the 15 inch screen MacBook Pro.

The image shows the MacBook Pro packaging label and we can see that the model will have a Intel i7 2.6 GHz quad-core processor capable of reaching speeds of up to 3.6 GHz with Turbo Boost.

The model will also have 16GB of 1600MHz DD3 RAM, 750GB of Hard Drive storage space and an AMD Radeon HD 7770M graphics processor that will offer 2GB of GDDR5 memory.

The site reports that this unconfirmed label also includes information about a higher-resolution display, an HD FaceTime camera, Thunderbolt port, Bluetooth 4.0, an SDXC card slot, FireWire, and Ethernet port.

The model of the processor, the integrated graphics and AMD cards, plus the screen resolution, reveal that this is an unreleased MacBook, but that features Retina Display.

9to5mac writes that the information is false because the Mac features an HDD and not an SSD, because the ratio is 16:10 and not 16:9, as Apple didn’t use an Nvidia card and because there is Firewire / Ethernet connectivity.
