Apple vacation ban hints at possible OS X Mountain Lion launch

According to MacRumors, the decision concerns the desktop and portables division and it is belived to be related to the release of OS X Lion Mountain.

The company reportedly told employees that they need “all hands on deck” during that period.

This seems to be Apple’s tradition before the launch of a major product.

The launch of the OS X Mountain Lion was officially announced by Apple for the month of July.

The product will be available through the Mac App Store, with a price of $19.99 for users of OS X Lion or Snow Leopard.

After the conference keynote, the company released a “near-final” version of OS X Mountain Lion to developers for testing.
