Based on Apple’s previous iPhone prices, PC Advisor’s David Court makes an analysis of the price for the handset.
The site first presents a list of the prices for the attest 16GB iPhone models released by Cupertino.
iPhone 3GS 16GB – £440
iPhone 4 16GB – £480
iPhone 4S 16GB – £499
The site concludes that Apple has increased the cost with £40 when upgrading from the iPhone 3GS to the iPhone 4 and with £20 for an update of the iPhone 4 to the iPhone 4S.
Court believes that the price of the device will depend on the new features that the iPhone 5 will bring in the fall.
He predicts that the iPhone 5 price for a 16GB model will be somewhere between £499 and £549.
As for prices of 32GB and 64GB versions, Court says that they depend on the additional storage.
He notes that for the release of the previous three iPhones, Apple has bumped £100 for the next model upwards, with 32GB models costing £100 more than the 16GB iPhones and 64GB iPhones being priced at £100 more than the 32GB models.
The company is expected to follow the same path for its upcoming iPhone 5.
