iPhone 5

Market watchers believe Apple will announce the iPhone 5 at a special event on Wednesday, September 12, 2012, with a product release set for nine days later.

Recent reports have pointed to a 4-inch screen on a display resolution of 640 x 1136, a quad-core processor, 4G LTE and NFC technology, a smaller dock connector, improved Siri, Facebook integration and Apple’s own Maps app with turn-by-turn navigation.

Samsung Galaxy Note 2

The device is expected to be launched at the IFA consumer electronics show event set for August 29 in Berlin.

The new Note is rumored to come with a 5.5-inch display, slightly larger than its predecessor, an impressive 1680×1050 resolution, a faster 1.6GHz quad-core processor and better camera.

LG Optimus Vu 2

Recent reports have suggested that LG Optimus Vu 2 might be on its way to Verizon.

The 5-inch handset features 4G LTE, runs Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, a 1.5 GHz dual-core S3 processor, 8 megapixel camera and a 4:3 aspect ratio display.

HTC “phablet”

Rumor has it that HTC is preparing for the launch of a 5-inch Android phone/tablet hybrid in September or October.

The device is rumored to be equipped with a 5-inch display with a 1,794×1,080-pixel resolution, a Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 1.5GHz processor and Android 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich.

Nokia Phi Windows Phone 8

The Finnish company is rumored to announce its first Windows Phone 8 device at Nokia World, which will be held September 5 and 6 in Helsinki, Finland.

The Nokia Phi is rumored to rock a 4.65-inch display and 4G LTE technology. It is rumored to be powered by a Qualcomm dual core processor and feature microSD expansionit is expected to have the same design as the Lumia 800 with a curved screen.
