Samsung Galaxy Note 2 officially unveiled

Today at the Berlin Unpacked Event, Samsung officially unveiled the Galaxy Note 2.

The handset features a 5.55-inch Super AMOLED display, capable of a 1280 x 720 pixels resolution, and it’s powered by a quad-core Exymos processor at 1.6 GHz with 2 GB of RAM and a 3100 mAh battery.

The device measures 151.1 x 80.5 x then 9.4 mm and weighs 180 grams.

As far as connectivity is concerned, the new Galaxy Note supports Wi-Fi Direct, Bluetooth 4.0 and an NFC chip.

Samsung has also improved the famous S Pen stylus that comes with the phone. It is now slightly longer and thicker and much more accurate since it recognizes 1024 levels of pressure.

On the software side, the deivce runs Android 4.1 Jelly Bean and a TouchWizz interface similar to that of Galaxy S III.

An eight megapixel camera is placed at the back of the phone, while a 1.9 megapixel camera is placed at the front.

Samsung Galaxy Note 2 will be available in October 2012. Its price has not been disclosed.
