According to a BGR report, the iOS 6.0.1 is being examined by carrier partners and is expected to be rolled out in the coming weeks.
The site writes that the update will fix several issues that have been reported by users lately.
The iOS 6.0.1 is rumored to include fixes for bugs such as the flickering that appears when the virtual keyboard is displayed.
The camera issue with the flash not going off will also be addressed.
BGR also writes that Apple plans to introduce a “consolidated cellular data switch” for iTunes Match that is meant to prevent users from using their mobile data plan by accident.
Other fixes include Wi-Fi support and Exchange meetings bug.
The site notes that since Apple is only now just starting testing the iOS 6.1, it is unlikely that it will ship with the iPad Mini by November 2nd.
