iPhone 5 Mu-Mu cases made from wood

Priced at £35, or $56, the cases are hand-crafted and offer an original aspect to your iPhone.

Previously designed for the iPhone 4S, the cases have been elongated and slimmed down for the new iPhone.

Two parts slide together to enclose the rear and sides of the device.

Laminated hardwood (plywood) was used to offer durability and six little transparent pads are placed inside to protect the iPhone against impact and prevent scratches.

The case comes with cutouts for the handset’s features such as the camera and flash, headphone port, volume and mute switches, and the power/sleep switch, and a ridge surrounds the screen of the device.

The cases are currently available for pre-order and will ship starting October 29.
