According to CNET, orders for the iPhone 5 on Apple’s website now ship in one to two weeks.
This may be seen as an indicator that Apple is finally catching up with demand for the handset.
Prior to this, ship times for the device were estimated at three to four weeks.
Last month the iPhone 5 shortage was explained by a Foxconn executive who told the Wall Street Journal that the smartphone is “the most difficult device that Foxconn has ever assembled.”
iPhone 5 fans can preorder the device through an online reservation system between 10 p.m and 4 a.m. each night and then pick it from their local Apple Store the next day.
