“Their Royal Highnesses The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are very pleased to announce that The Duchess of Cambridge is expecting a baby,” the palace said in a statement today. “The Queen, The Duke of Edinburgh, The Prince of Wales, The Duchess of Cornwall and Prince Harry and members of both families are delighted with the news.”
The announcement was made today after Catherine, 30, was taken to King Edward Hospital in London.
The Duchess of Cambridge had an “acute” morning sickness and will remain at the hospital for a few days.
“The Duchess was admitted this afternoon to King Edward VII Hospital in Central London with Hyperemesis Gravidarum,” the statement continued. “As the pregnancy is in its very early stages, Her Royal
Highness is expected to stay in hospital for several days and will require a period of rest thereafter.”
Following a visit to Cambridge, a British woman who wants Prince William and his wife Catherine to have a child in the near future, gave their baby a home-made romper suit emblazoned with the words
‘Daddy’s little co-pilot.’
Rumors about a possible pregnancy have circulated since the couple’s wedding in April 2011.
Congratulations to the Royal couple!
