BlackBerry (formerly RIM) introduced two new smartphones, which will be the first to board the new BlackBerry 10 platform.
First, there is the Z10 that comes with a 4.2-inch display with a resolution of 1280x768px.
The device will be launched in two colors, white and black, and it bears a design that is very similar to that of the iPhone 5.
NFC, 4G LTE and a microphone port HDMI are also among its features.
Among the innovations, “Balance” helps to divide the data, applications and resources, whether they are of private or professional use.
Another development is the instant messaging BlackBerry Messenger (BBM) that allows the sharing of video from a BlackBerry to another.
As for the BlackBerry Q10, it has a 3.1-inch screen and its case is made from plastic.
The handset will be powered by a 1.5 GHz processor, 2GB RAM and 16GB of storage space that can be easily expanded with a micro SD slot.
Other details remain unclear: the Q10 is due for release later than the Z10.
The new operating system BlackBerry 10 looks like a multitasking operating system.
It is no longer necessary to go through the home screen to switch applications, all are accessible from a dedicated mosaic.
Users will get to enjoy no less than 70 000 applications, including Facebook, Twitter, Skype or Angry Birds.
