According to Brightwire, the iPad mini 2, currently under development at Apple, would display a screen resolution of 1536 X 2048 pixels.
Screen manufacturer AU Optronics would take care of the production.
If confirmed, the resolution of this iPad mini will be higher than that of the Retina iPad, being almost equivalent to that of the iPhone 5 which offers 326 ppi.
The lack of a Retina screen was the only complaint about the first generation iPad mini, which knows a great success even at the expense of the standard iPad.
The mini iPad 2 launch is expected in October, the same as the next version of the 9.7-inch iPad.
