According to 9to5Mac, the files include eight “radio” buttons that feature the word ‘buy’ in the filenames.
This may be an indicator of Apple’s plans to allow the purchase of music tracks from within the app.
The site notes that icons appear to resemble the radio icon that used to be in iTunes for Mac (it was traded for a more prominent top location in iTunes 11 without the antena tower).
Rumors that Apple wants to launch its own Pandora-like service aren’t new.
Bloomberg reported that executives from Universal Music Group, Warner Music Group Corp, and Sony Corp’s music division discussed radio plans with Apple, suggesting that an early 2013 launch could be possible.
