A video posted by Jailbreak Nation showed that there was a loophole to bypass the code to unlock an iPhone.
AllThingsD reported that Apple was working on a fix for the hack.
“Apple takes user security very seriously” spokeswoman Trudy Muller told the site. “We are aware of this issue, and will deliver a fix in a future software update.”
According to sources cited by German iPhone fan site iFun, Apple is “likely” to release a major update to for iOS 6.1 early next week.
