Fans of the gaming console will enjoy a new design, new controllers and several upgraded specs.
The device comes with an x86 “Jaguar” AMD processor with eight CPU cores, a GPU with 18 “compute units” capable of 1.84 TFLOPS and AMD next-generation Radeon™ based graphics engine.
It offers 8GB of GDDR5 RAM, 802.11n Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 2.1.
Sony’s new “DualShock 4” controllers also equip the console, coming with new features such as a touchpad, a stereo camera for 3D position tracking and others.
In addition, a new feature on the PS4 lets users to take control of other gamers’ controllers over the network to get help when stuck in a game.
Also, when not in use, the new sleep button will keep the console in a low-power mode in order to spare users of having to wait for the device to start up again.
With the PS4 gamers will get the chance to start playing the games right after purchasing them, even while another game download is still in progress.
Other specs include Facebook and PS Vita integration.
The PlayStation 4 will be launched ahead of the holiday season this year.
