Oscar 2013 winners: ‘Amour’ wins Best Foreign Language Film

Norway’s “Kon-Tiki” tells the story of a raft expedition across the Pacific, conducted in 1947 by anthropologist Heyerdahl.

With “NO,” Chilean direcotr Pablo Larraín No” focuses on the effects of campaign media coverage.

Denmark’s “A Royal Affair,” directed by Nikolaj Arcel, examines the relationship between Queen Caroline Mathilde of Denmark and the doctor of her husband, all set in 1770.

Canada’s “War Witch,” directed by Kim Nguyen takes place somewhere in sub-Saharan Africa and features a 12-year-old girl that is forced to enroll as a child soldier.
