On Friday Ubisoft held an event dedicated to Assassin’s Creed where the new installment of the series was presented.
Following what appears to be a technical problem, the official website has apparently revealed the release date of the game, scheduled for October 29, 2013, in a trailer.
The site has taken the clip down and now posts a countdown which suggests that the game will be officially revealed in a few days.
Besides platforms already confirmed, namely PC, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Wii U, the page also shows a message that reads, “also coming to next-gen consoles,” which seems to confirm the release of the game on the PlayStation 4 and the next Xbox.
The main character of Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag is Edward Kenway, pirate and murderer and the father of Haytham Kenway from Assassin’s Creed 3.
Sony recently unveiled the PlayStation 4 at a press conference in New York City and announced that the new console will hit the market ahead of the holiday season this year.
The trailer and the first information will be presented on 4 March.
