Apple and Intel rumors of partnership over A-series chips

According to Reuters, who cites an insider from one of the companies, executives have taken into account a partnership where Intel’s foundries would be used to produce iOS device chips.

The source added that an agreement has yet to be reached.

Rumors of a collaboration between the two are not new.

In May 2011, Intel was reportedly interested in manufacturing Apple’s A4 and A5 chips. However, it didn’t become a real fact.
