According to a DigiTimes report, Microsoft plans to merge the ARM-based platform into the next version of Windows, code-named Blue.
ARM-based Windows devices don’t offer support for x86 apps and as a consequence we may no longer see Windows RT equipment.
But the Windows RT name has led many users to believe that all x86 Windows programs will be supported by the system.
This has particularly confused customers, especially new buyers.
Microsoft is expected to launch Windows Blue at the Build developers conference on June 26th in San Francisco.
