According to 9to5Google, the company will launch a new Android OS and will provide updates on the social network’s mobile homepage.
The report adds that this initiative is called the “Facebook Home”, which also alludes to the invitation sent by the company that invites people to “see our new home on Android.”
Last week, Facebook sent out invitations to the press for an April 4 event at its headquarters in Palo Alto, California, to see the company’s “new home on Android.”
The social network is reportedly working on its own smartphone designed in partnership with HTC.
As the site noted, the first “Facebook Home” looks like a slightly larger iPhone.
