In addition, Apple is going to launch a TD-SCDMA version of these gadgets for Chinese mobile operator China Mobile in late September or early October.
The device is expected to come with a faster processor, a 12-megapixel camera and the iOS 7 operating system, the report added.
The rumors suggest that the incorporation of a fingerprint reader is slowing the production of the handset more than it was expected.
Recent statements made by Apple CEO Tim Cook suggest Apple strives to bring new equipment, programs and services, but that nothing will come before the fall, while some devices are slated for 2014.
