Next-gen Xbox rumors: Molyneux’s Curiosity connected to Xbox 720?

Six months after its debut, Curiosity: What’s in the Cube? nears its end, with only 50 layers left before the unique mobile game reveals its big secret.

Strangely, according to the latest estimates, this will happen on May 21 – just a day ahead of the presentation of the new Xbox.

Microsoft is set to unveil its next-generation Xbox on May 21 and rumors are rife about a possible relationship between the game and the console.

The creator of the game, Peter Molyneux, hinted that he would make an announcement related to the new Xbox around those dates.

Speaking to GameSpot, Molyneux said:

“Bizarrely … is that the end of the cube — the last layer of the cube — might well be, I mean probably, if you look at our analysis of probability, the same day that the next Xbox is announced. Which would be a bizarre twist of fate.”

“There’s an interesting opportunity, possibly, for me to … well, I can’t say any more than that. There may be some words from me around that time. I’m not saying any more.”
