With this device, users can remotely control an Android app without touching the smartphone.
Sony proposes the first “second screen” for Android smartphones, with a 1.6 inches screen with a resolution of 220×176 pixels and an aluminum frame.
Compatible with smartphones and tablets running Android 4.0 +, the wristwatch can serve as an extension to these devices, but also work independently.
Users can read SMS, emails and Facebook and Twitter feeds on the screen, answer calls or the control music player.
It also comes with NFC compatibility for easy Bluetooth pairing with a compatible smartphone and it has increased resistance to water and splash.
The Sony SmartWatch 2 will be available worldwide in September but Sony has yet to disclose a price.
